1 · Rental & responsibility
The renter assumes full responsibility for all equipment from the moment of pickup until it is returned to Red Crate Rentals and inspected. Equipment must be returned in the same condition it left in, on the agreed return date and within the chosen pickup window, at our West Palm Beach prep bay.
2 · Payment authorization
The rental total is charged at checkout to confirm the reservation. By checking out, you authorize Red Crate Rentals to keep your card on file (vaulted securely with Stripe) and to charge it for any applicable late fees or damage charges after return, at the rates stated here.
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax of 7% (6% Florida state + 1% Palm Beach County) applies once we are registered with the Florida Department of Revenue; until then, no tax is collected.
3 · Damage & the optional waiver
Without the damage waiver: the renter is liable for 100% of the repair or replacement cost of any damaged, lost, or stolen item.
With the damage waiver(12% of subtotal, all-or-nothing per order): liability for accidental damage is capped at 10% of each item’s replacement value. The waiver does not cover theft, loss, water/liquid damage, sand damage, intentional misuse, gross negligence, or any damage occurring outside the United States.
4 · Late returns
A grace period of 24 hours past the agreed return time applies. After the grace period, a late fee equal to one daily rental rate per item, per day, accrues and is charged to the card on file. Persistent late returns may affect future rental eligibility.
5 · Cancellation & refunds
- 72+ hours before pickup, 100% refund.
- 24–72 hours before pickup, 50% refund.
- Under 24 hours before pickup, no refund.
There are no refunds for early returns. Cancellations can be made any time from your order page and are processed back to your original payment method.
6 · Acceptable use
Equipment is rented for professional and creative production use. It may not be sub-rented, taken outside the United States, or used in a way that risks damage beyond normal production wear. You agree to operate gear within manufacturer guidelines.
7 · ID & eligibility
First-time renters must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification before pickup. Red Crate Rentals reserves the right to decline or cancel a rental where identity cannot be verified or where prior terms have been breached.
